holiday broccoli & rice casserole
My family has been making this for years. We don't have a holiday without it. It is so good even all the kids love it.

Super hearty, you could almost eat this broccoli and rice casserole as a meal. If you love cheese, you'll love this broccoli casserole. It's super cheesy! Filled with broccoli, we can see why it's a must on Kari's holiday menu.

Ingredients
- 1 stick butter
- 3 sticks celery, chopped fine
- 2 cans cream of chicken soup (10.5 oz each)
- 1 1/2 jars Cheez Whiz (15 oz)
- 1 bag broccoli florets, chopped (16 oz)
- 2 cups Minute Rice, cooked
- 3/4 can chicken broth or stock (14.5 oz can)
- - salt & pepper, to taste
How To Make holiday broccoli & rice casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Melt butter in a Dutch oven. Then add your celery and cook until tender.

Step 3Add your 2 cans of soup, Cheez Whiz & broth. Cook until all melted together. Then season to taste with salt and pepper.

Step 4Now add your broccoli and mix. Broccoli can still be frozen, it will thaw at this point.

Step 5Add your rice and mix.

Step 6Pour into a greased baking pan and cover.

Step 7Now put it in the oven and cook for one hour.

Step 8In the last 10 to 15 minutes of cooking, remove the lid or foil and let the top brown a little.
