My son says these Baked Beans are more like a chili. Whatever you choose to call them, the result is "delicious"!

    green beams, drained
  • 1 (15oz) can(s)
    kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15oz) can(s)
    black beans, drained
  • 2 sm can(s)
    pork and beans
  • 1 lg
    onion, chopped
  • 1
    green pepper, chopped
  • 1 lb
    ground beef
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 1/8 tsp
    pepper
  • 1 lb
    bacon
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    ketchup
  • 1/2 tsp
    worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp
    chili powder
  • 1 tsp
    garlic powder

How to Make Five Bean Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Cut up bacon,then fry until crisp. Remove bacon from the pan and place on paper towels.
  3. Add onion and green pepper to pan and fry for several minutes, oir, until crisp tender. Remove and let drain.
  4. In another pan, fry ground beef until brown. Drain well then add salt and pepper.
  5. Place all ingredients into a large casserole dish, and mix well.
  6. Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 1 hour.
