My son says these Baked Beans are more like a chili. Whatever you choose to call them, the result is "delicious"!

Ingredients

  • 1 (15oz) can green beams, drained
  • 1 (15oz) can kidney beans, drained
  • 1 (15oz) can black beans, drained
  • 2 sm cans pork and beans
  • 1 lg - onion, chopped
  • 1 - green pepper, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound bacon
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 teaspoon worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

How To Make five bean casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • Step 2
    Cut up bacon,then fry until crisp. Remove bacon from the pan and place on paper towels.
  • Step 3
    Add onion and green pepper to pan and fry for several minutes, oir, until crisp tender. Remove and let drain.
  • Step 4
    In another pan, fry ground beef until brown. Drain well then add salt and pepper.
  • Step 5
    Place all ingredients into a large casserole dish, and mix well.
  • Step 6
    Bake in preheated oven, uncovered, for 1 hour.
