Ingredients
- 2 cans green peas, drained (15 oz each)
- 1 jar pimentos, drained and diced (4 oz)
- 1 can water chestnuts, drained and roughly chopped (8 oz)
- 1 can cream of celery soup (10.5 oz)
- 1/4 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup cheese, sharp cheddar or Parmesan
- 2 cups butter crackers, crushed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
How To Make family-approved sweet pea casserole

Step 1Prepare a 1 1/2 quart casserole dish.

Step 2In a bowl, add peas, pimentos, water chestnuts, soup and onion. Gently mix ingredients. Add ingredients to casserole dish and top with cheese over the top.

Step 3In another bowl, mix cracker crumbs and butter .

Step 4Sprinkle cracker crumbs over the cheese.

Step 5Bake casserole for 30-40 minutes at 350 degrees until lightly browned on top.
