Easy Au Gratin Potatoes

I make this as a side dish. You can also add about a cup of cubed cooked ham to make this a main dish.

potatoes thinly sliced
1 medium
white onion thinly sliced
2 c
heavy cream
8 oz
sharp cheddar, shredded and divided
1/4 c
salt and pepper to taste
1 c
grated romano cheese

How to Make Easy Au Gratin Potatoes


  • 1preheat oven to 375 degrees
  • 2In a large bowl combine all ingredients except 1 cup of shredded cheddar. Toss until completed mixed.
  • 3Transfer to a shallow baking dish and spread out evenly. Top with remained shredded cheddar and romano cheeses.
  • 4Bake about 45 to 50 minutes until potatoes are tender and top is nicely browned. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
