Ingredients

  • 3 cups granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 cups cranberries, fresh
  • 1.5 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1.5 cups sugar
  • TOPPING INGREDIENTS
  • 1.33 cups oats, quick cooking
  • 1 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1.33 cups brown sugar
  • 1 stick butter

How To Make cranberry casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 325.
  • Step 2
    In a shallow 2 quart casserole, mix cranberries and chopped apples.
  • Step 3
    In a small bowl mix lemon juice and white sugar; sprinkle this mixture over the cranberries and apples and mix together until just moistened.
  • Step 4
    In another bowl mix together all ingredients for topping and sprinkle over the top of the cranberry mixture.
  • Step 5
    Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  • Step 6
    NOTE: Be sure to use quick oats. If regular oats are used the recipe will be runny.
  • Step 7
    TIP: Pecans are also great in this recipe!
