  • 3 c
    granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
  • 2 c
    cranberries, fresh
  • 1.5 tsp
    lemon juice
  • 1.5 c

  • 1.33 c
    oats, quick cooking
  • 1 c
    walnuts, chopped
  • 1.33 c
    brown sugar
  • 1 stick

How to Make Cranberry Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 325.
  2. In a shallow 2 quart casserole, mix cranberries and chopped apples.
  3. In a small bowl mix lemon juice and white sugar; sprinkle this mixture over the cranberries and apples and mix together until just moistened.
  4. In another bowl mix together all ingredients for topping and sprinkle over the top of the cranberry mixture.
  5. Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.
  6. NOTE: Be sure to use quick oats. If regular oats are used the recipe will be runny.
  7. TIP: Pecans are also great in this recipe!
