Ingredients
- 3 cups granny smith apples, peeled and chopped
- 2 cups cranberries, fresh
- 1.5 teaspoons lemon juice
- 1.5 cups sugar
- TOPPING INGREDIENTS
- 1.33 cups oats, quick cooking
- 1 cup walnuts, chopped
- 1.33 cups brown sugar
- 1 stick butter
How To Make cranberry casserole

Step 1Preheat oven to 325.

Step 2In a shallow 2 quart casserole, mix cranberries and chopped apples.

Step 3In a small bowl mix lemon juice and white sugar; sprinkle this mixture over the cranberries and apples and mix together until just moistened.

Step 4In another bowl mix together all ingredients for topping and sprinkle over the top of the cranberry mixture.

Step 5Bake at 325 for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Step 6NOTE: Be sure to use quick oats. If regular oats are used the recipe will be runny.

Step 7TIP: Pecans are also great in this recipe!
