I have made this dressing for Thanksgiving for years and it is always a hit. Even people that do not like dressing, loves this! It's time consuming, but can be made in large batches and frozen to use later on.

Slow Cooker Crock Pot


Add to Grocery List

3 stick
butter (or margarine)
medium onions (minced fine)
2 pkg
plain bread croutons (butternut is what i use)
1 small
pan baked cornbread (crumbled)
6 slice
white (loaf) bread
salt, pepper and sage to taste
cooked chicken - reserve broth
chicken broth

How to Make Cornbread Stuffing (Dressing)


  • 1Mix all ingredients well. Dressing should not be "dry" - it should have a wet/sticky consistency. Stuff chicken or turkey with dressing, or put in a crockpot or aluminum foil. Bake for approximately 1 hour @ 350 degrees.
