The beans are yummy, with steak sauce and velveeta adding a surprisingly good flavor so that you aren't eating the same old booring baked beans!

Ingredients For cheese & molasses beans

  • 1/4 lb
    smoked bacon, sliced
  • 1
    onion, chopped
  • 2 clove
    minced garlic
  • 2
    28 oz cans pork and beans
  • 1 Tbsp
    steak sauce
  • 1/4-1/2 c
    packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 c
    molasses
  • 1/2 lb
    velveeta, cubed

How To Make cheese & molasses beans

    Fry bacon, pour off all but 3-4 T fat. Fry onion and garlic until tender, add beans, sugar to taste, molasses and steak sauce and mix. Simmer 30-35 min. Crumble bacon and add with cheese before serving.

    If taking this mix sugar, molasses and steak sauce for easy traveling. Also, soft cheese melts faster.
