cheddar cabbage casserole
I ran across this recipe from an old copy of "Taste of Home" magazine. I just love cabbage, and who doesn't love cheese!! I thought this sounded so good, but it hasn't been tested in my kitchen, so let me know what you think.

Ingredients
- 2 1/2 cups coarsley crushed cornflakes
- 1/2 cup butter, melted
- 4 1/2 cups shredded cabbage
- 1/4 cup chopped, onion
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4-1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 1 can (10-3/4 oz.) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (8 oz.)
How To Make cheddar cabbage casserole

Step 1Toss the cornflakes and butter; spoon half into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 in. baking dish. Layer with the cabbage, onion, salt and pepper. In a bowl, combine the soup, milk and mayonnaise until smooth. Spoon over top; sprinkle with cheese and remaining cornflake mixture.

Step 2bake, uncovered, at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
