I received this recipe from a very dear friend a few years back. It's such a wonderful recipe that I decided it needed to be shared with others too. I know you will enjoy it as much as we do. :-)

Ingredients

  • 2 Heads
    broccoli trimmed down to florets - fresh steamed
  • 1
    yellow onion - chopped
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 jar(s)
    cheez whiz
  • 1 stick
    butter or margarine
  • 1 c
    rice - cooked (in 2 cups water)

How to Make Broccoli Rice Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Steam Broccoli Florets until very tender.
  2. Sauté chopped Onion in Butter or Margarine.
  3. Add can of Cream of Mushroom Soup to Butter and Onion.
  4. In very large bowl, combine cooked Rice, mixture of onion, butter & soup, Broccoli, and jar of Cheez Whiz.
  5. Mix thoroughly and pour into large casserole dish that's been sprayed with Pam or Buttered.
  6. Bake uncovered @ 350* for 35-45 minutes. Enjoy! :-)

    TIP: Try to have ingredients warm/hot when mixing so cheese whiz melts easily.
