Ingredients
- 1 stick margarine
- 1 cup quick cooking barley
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 - packet onion soup mix
- 1 can chicken broth
- 1 can mushrooms, 4oz with juice
- 1 can water chestnuts, 4 oz sliced, drained
How To Make barley casserole

Step 1Pre-heat oven to 350. Melt Margarine in a large skillet, add onions and barley. Saute until golden brown.

Step 2To the skillet; Add dry onion soup mix and chicken broth, then add mushrooms with juice and water chestnuts.

Step 3Transfer to a greased 2 quart casserole dish, cover and bake for 1 hour, then uncover and bake until golden brown.
