Here is another recipe from my mom! This is definately a favorite recipe of mine!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (optional but highly recommended)
  • 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 2/3 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup barbecue sauce
  • 15 ounces can kidney beans, rinsed
  • 15 ounces can butter beans, rinsed
  • 15 ounces can pork and beans, undrained
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 teaspoons dijon mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder

How To Make barbecue beans

  • Step 1
    Cook onion and, if desired, ground beef in a dutch oven, stirring till meat crumbles and is no longer pink; drain. Stir in bacon and remaining ingredients, and spoon into a lightly greased 2 1/2 quart casserole dish. Chill 8 hours if desired (we normally skip chilling it).
  • Step 2
    Bake bean mixture at 350* for 1 hour, stirring once.
