Ingredients
- 2 cups French fried onions, divided
- 1 tablespoon avocado oil
- 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
- 1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
- 1 medium purple onion, chopped
- 2 1/2 tablespoons steak seasoning
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 4 teaspoons ground black pepper
- 1 tablespoon margarine
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup (10.5 ounce)
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 2 cans cut green beans, drained (15 ounce)
- 1 cup shredded Colby Jack cheese
How To Make bacon medley green bean casserole

Step 1Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.

Step 2Coat a 9x13-inch casserole dish with cooking spray. Add 1 cup French fried onions.

Step 3Heat olive oil in a large, deep skillet over medium heat. Add raw bacon pieces, diced yellow and red peppers, and chopped purple onion. Cook and saute for 8 minutes or until the bacon pieces are brown and crispy and the vegetables are tender.

Step 4Remove from heat. Season with steak seasoning, garlic powder, and black pepper. Set aside.

Step 5Heat the margarine in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add heavy cream, soup, and cream cheese. Stir well and bring it to a boil for 5 minutes until thickened.

Step 6Add green beans and bacon medley; mix well for 5 minutes until blended. Remove from heat.

Step 7Pour over a prepared baking dish and spread evenly with a rubber spatula.

Step 8Sprinkle with shredded Colby Jack cheese and remaining French fried onions.

Step 9Bake for 20 minutes or until the cheese is melted. Cool completely for 15 minutes.
