Ingredients

  • 32 ounces frozen cubed hash brown potatoes
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons sweet and tangy seasoning,divided
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons melted margarine
  • 1 pint sour cream
  • 3/4 cup half and half
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tablespoon garlic butter seasoning
  • 1 cup crumbled bacon bits
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

How To Make au gratin potato casserole

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Coat a 9 x 13-inch baking pan with cooking spray.
  • Step 2
    Add cubed hash brown potatoes,1 1/2 tablespoon sweet and tangy seasoning, garlic powder, and melted margarine; mix well.
  • Step 3
    In a medium bowl, combine sour cream, half and half, cream cheese,garlic butter seasoning and bacon bits; whisk well for 2 minutes until blended.
  • Step 4
    Spread the sour cream mixture onto the potatoes; mix well.
  • Step 5
    Sprinkle with shredded sharp cheddar cheese on top and season with remaining sweet and tangy seasoning.
  • Step 6
    Bake for 35 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
