  • 16 oz
    egg noodles, cooked
  • 3 Tbsp
  • 1 pkg
    (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 lb
    cottage cheese
  • 3
    eggs, separated
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/2 c
    sour cream
  • 1/2 c
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon (optional)
  • 1 c
    sliced, peeled apples (optional)
  • 1/2 c
    white raisins (optional)

How to Make Amazing Kugel


  1. In a large bowl, toss cooked noodles with butter.
    In another bowl, beat cream cheese, cottage cheese and sour cream until light.
  2. Add egg yolks and beat well.
    Pour over noodles in bowl.
    Add remaining ingredients, except egg whites; mix well.
    Beat egg whites until stiff and fold in.
    Can add cinnamon, apples, and raisins on top.
  3. Pour into 9 X 13 inch greased baking dish.
    Bake at 350 degrees for 45 to 50 minutes and nicely browned.
