This is one incredibly sweet stuffing. It is very good with pork chops, and I'm sure would be great with anything else. I think that the original recipe came from my Grandma W, but am not sure. And there was a note on the almond ingredients that suggested using Almond Accents brand? Looks like Grandma's handwriting...

Bake

Ingredients

  • 12 oz
    stuffing mix
  • 1 c
    roasted almond slices (like you get from the salad toppings section)
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    chopped onion
  • 2
    green apples, cored
  • 1 c
    raisins
  • 2/3 c
    chopped parsley
  • 1 1/2 c
    apple juice
  • 1/2 c
    melted butter

How to Make Almond Apple Stuffing

Step-by-Step

  1. Mix stuffing, celery, onion, apples, raisins and parsley. Moisten with juice and butter., toss well. Add more juice if you need it. Bake in 9x13 or 3 qt casserole. Cover and bake 30 min at 350 degrees, until heated through. Uncover, sprinkle with almonds, bake 5-10 min longer.
