This was my mother in law's, Betty, Thanksgiving side dish. There are never leftovers.

  • 1 c
    sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1-14 oz
    diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1-4 oz
    sliced canned mushrooms
  • 1 c
    wild rice
  • 1/2 c
    diced onions
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1-10 1/2 oz
    beef broth
  • 1/4 c
    vegetable oil

How to Make Wild Rice Casserole


  1. Preheat oven to 350. Combine all ingredients in a casserole dish. Stir mixture to make sure all ingredients are mixed well. Bake for a total of 1 1/2 hours, stir 3 times. Make sure all liquid is cooked up but don't over cook.
