tabatha's yellow rice

My husband is very picky and I have tested other versions of this rice on him. And, he really liked this one. When I made kabobs he insisted that I make this rice to go with it. Even my sister in law enjoyed it. My daughter who is very hard to please enjoys this rice and asks for it alot.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/4 small onion, diced
  • 4-5 slices green pepper, diced
  • 1 package sazon
  • 1 package chicken bouillon granules
  • 1 teaspoon oregano, dried
  • 2 teaspoons kosher salt
  • 3 1/2 cups water
  • 2 cups rice, parboiled

How To Make tabatha's yellow rice

  • Step 1
    Melt Butter; add onion and green pepper, sauté. Add sazon, bouillon and oregano, mix.
  • Step 2
    Add water bring to a boil.
  • Step 3
    Add salt and Rice. Boil for 15 min.
  • Step 4
    Turn off heat, remove lid, cover with clean white towel and replace lid. Let rice set for an additional 15 min, covered. Remove lid and towel, toss with a fork. Serve.
