My Aunt Ellen, who was from St Louis, brought this recipe to us from a friend in St Paul, so we always called it St Paul's Rice. It is now a staple at all our BBQs and many family holiday dinners.

Ingredients
- 1 lb - sausage (ground)
- 1 sm - onion (chopped)
- 1 - green pepper (chopped)
- 3 stalks - celery (chopped)
- 2-1/2 cups - water
- 1 cup - white rice
- 2 pkgs - chicken noodle soup mix
- 1 sm jar - pimento
- 1/2 pkg - slivered almonds
How To Make st paul's rice

Step 1Cover Rice with water and cook lie about 5 minutes. Add chicken flavored noodle soup mix and continue cooking about 10 more minutes

Step 2Brown loose ground sausage, add pepper, onion, and celery.

Step 3When rice is almost done, mix sausage mix, rice, pimentos and slivered almonds.

Step 4Bake in a greased pan at 350° For approximately 45 minutes.
