My Aunt Ellen, who was from St Louis, brought this recipe to us from a friend in St Paul, so we always called it St Paul's Rice. It is now a staple at all our BBQs and many family holiday dinners.

1 lbsausage (ground)

1 smonion (chopped)

1green pepper (chopped)

3 stalkscelery (chopped)

2-1/2 cupswater

1 cupwhite rice

2 pkgschicken noodle soup mix

1 sm jarpimento

1/2 pkgslivered almonds
How To Make st paul's rice

1Cover Rice with water and cook lie about 5 minutes. Add chicken flavored noodle soup mix and continue cooking about 10 more minutes

2Brown loose ground sausage, add pepper, onion, and celery.

3When rice is almost done, mix sausage mix, rice, pimentos and slivered almonds.

4Bake in a greased pan at 350° For approximately 45 minutes.
