My sister Gina's Recipe and it is delicious!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup white rice (not instant)
  • 1/2 medium diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can 8 oz. tomato sauce
  • 1 tablespoon garlic salt
  • 1 tablespoon cumin
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

How To Make spanish rice

  • Step 1
    In a large sauce pan, heat oil at med heat and add in rice and onion...stirring often. Once rice becomes lightly browned, add in minced garlic and stir.
  • Step 2
    Begin to add in remaing ingrediants one at a time while stiring in between. When liquid begins to boil, reduce heat cover with lid and let simmer for about 30 to 35 minutes.
  • Step 3
    Once rice is cooked, fluff with fork and serve! This recipe goes well with any of my Mexican Dishes!
