I got this recipe from my mother and I just added a few ingredients of my own to it.My husband loves this rice and looks foward to it each time i make it!

Ingredients
- 1 cup white long grain rice
- 1 tablespoon vegitable oil
- 1 can dice tomatos with green chili
- 1 clove garlic (minced)
- 1 medium yellow onion (diced)
- 2 pinches cilantro, fresh and chopped finely
- 2 sprigs green onions
- 1 can tomato sauce
- 2 cups water
- - salt to taste
- - pepper to taste
How To Make spanish rice

Step 1add oil to large frying pan and turn to medium high heat. Add rice and "continually" stir rice until golden brown

Step 2add water and turn down heat to low and add all other ingredients.

Step 3Cover with lid and let cook for 20 minutes, stirring only once about half way through cooking time. if you stir more rice can get mushy.
