This is everyday Arabic rice that is used to eat with stews and such. I grew up eating this with just simply plain yoghurt or chopped tomatoes over it.

Ingredients

  • 2 c
    white rice
  • 1/4 c
    butter
  • 1
    handfull broken vermicelli noodles
  • 1/2 tsp
    salt
  • 3 3/4 c
    water or broth

How to Make Simple Arabic Rice Pilaf

Step-by-Step

  1. Fry the vermicelli in butter on low until golden.
  2. Add remaining ingredients.
  3. Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. .
  4. Cover & simmer for 30 minutes or until rice is tender & water is absorbed.
