This is everyday Arabic rice that is used to eat with stews and such. I grew up eating this with just simply plain yoghurt or chopped tomatoes over it.

Ingredients

2 c
white rice
1/4 c
butter
1
handfull broken vermicelli noodles
1/2 tsp
salt
3 3/4 c
water or broth

How to Make Simple Arabic Rice Pilaf

Step-by-Step

  • 1Fry the vermicelli in butter on low until golden.
  • 2Add remaining ingredients.
  • 3Bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. .
  • 4Cover & simmer for 30 minutes or until rice is tender & water is absorbed.
