Ingredients

  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 2/3 - 1 c
    chicken broth
  • 1 Tbsp
    butter or olive oil
  • 1/2 c
    picante sauce
  • 1/8 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/2 c
    rice (uncooked)

How to Make Picante Rice

Step-by-Step

  1. Melt butter or heat oil. Saute onion until tender.
  2. Add broth and picante sauce. Stir and bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in rice and garlic powder.
  4. Cover and simmer 20 - 25 minutes. Watch closely, as it is prone to scorching.
