I saw this recipe on and changed it to my liking.Sounds good and very simple.I would have to add garlic. And taste the broth for seasoning before cooking rice,most of the time,I don't add salt if I'm using broths or stocks as they are usually salty.

    3/4 c rice

    1 1/2 c chicken broth

    1/4 t. pepper

How to Make Peas Peppers & Rice


  1. n saucepan, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Fry onion until softened. Add red pepper and rice; stir for 1 minute.

    Add chicken stock and pepper; bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover and simmer until rice is tender and liquid is absorbed, about 20 minutes. With fork, stir in peas; heat throughly
