Ingredients
- 1/4 cup onion, chopped
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 cup long-grain rice, uncooked
- 2 cups water
- 10 ounces frozen english peas
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
How To Make peas and rice casserole

Step 1Saute onion and parsley in melted butter in a large skillet until tender. Add the rice, and saute 5 minutes, stirring frequently. Add the water; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 15 minutes or until the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.

Step 2Cook the peas according to the package directions; drain. Add peas and salt to the rice; stir well.

Step 3Transfer the rice mixture to a serving dish; sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
