patsy's yellow rice
(1 rating)
We love yellow rice. I buy a spice in the Hispanic section of the store called Bijol,it says it's a coloring and seasoning. It says it's all natural and no preservatives. It really has no flavor it just makes the rice yellow. I don't measure when I cook, but I just made this rice so these measurements are approximate. Use more Bijol if you want a darker colored yellow rice.If your broth is salty,do not add additional salt. If I use a bouillon cube,no salt is needed. Taste the broth before you cook the rice. The pimiento is optional.I sometimes add green bell pepper for color as well.
