  • 2 c
    sam's club par excellence yellow rice or saffron rice that equals two cups
  • 4 c
  • 1/2 c
    orange juice
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter or margarine
  • 1/2 c
    chopped celery
  • 1/2 c
    chopped onion
  • 1 c
    dried diced mixed fruit
  • 3 Tbsp
    olive oil

How to Make Orange Saffron Rice


  1. In a large pot with a lid, bring water and orange juice and butter to a boil and add rice. Cover and reduce heat to low for approx. 20 minutes until liquid is absorbed.
  2. In a frying pan, saute celery and onion until clear but not brown. Add dried fruits and quickly saute to activate the flavors.
  3. Add celery, onions, and fruit mixture to the cooked saffron rice.
