I wanted to serve Rice-a-roni with an asian chicken dish I created but I realized that we didn't have any any in the cupboard so, I decided to see if I could create my own version of this simple comfort food.

Ingredients
- 1 cup minute rice
- 1/3 cup orzo pasta
- 3 cups chicken stock
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon poultry seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons butter
How To Make homemade rice-a-roni

Step 1Melt your butter in a large sautee pan over medium heat until pasta and rice are a light toasted brown. about 3-5 min

Step 2Slowly add chicken stock to the pan.

Step 3add the garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and poultry seasoning wisk together and bring to a boil.

Step 4place cover or lid on top of the pan and turn the heat down to medium low. cook until the stock has been absorbed roughly 20 min.
