hawaiian ham fried rice
I am somewhat of a fried rice queen. This one is perfect for serving with Hawaiian pulled pork (kalua pig) or something like teriyaki fish or chicken on the barbecue. Or if you are like me, you could eat this all by itself.

Ingredients
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 1 tablespoon peanut oil
- 1 cup diced red onion
- 10 ounces diced ham
- 3 cloves chopped garlic
- 1 teaspoon ginger paste
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh asparagus
- 1/2 cup frozen peas, thawed
- 1 cup diced fresh pineapple
- 3/4 cup diced fresh tomato
- 1/3 cup chopped green onion
- 2 tablespoons hawaiian soy sauce
- 3 cups cooked brown rice, chilled
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
How To Make hawaiian ham fried rice

Step 1Heat peanut oil in a wok pan and add eggs, swirling around until set, then remove from pan

Step 2Add the onion, carrot, and ham to pan, cooking until onion softens and ham browns.

Step 3Stir in the garlic, ginger, asparagus ad peas, cooking until asparagus is crisp-tender.

Step 4Add the pineapple, tomato, green onion and soy sauce, cooking until most of the liquid dissipates; remove from pan.

Step 5Add the tablespoon each of cooking oil and sesame oil then add the rice to the pan, cooking until most of the steam is gone.

Step 6Stir ham mixture into the rice and serve.
