Buttery and delicious... this is a great side dish or good as a bed for a meat main dish. It also keeps well in the fridge for about two weeks.

small egg noodles
1 c
long cooking rice (not minute rice)
2 1/2 c
chicken or beef broth
1/2 c
salt to taste

How to Make Grandmother Phillips' Rice Pilaf


  • 1Brown egg noodles lightly in melted butter.
  • 2Add rice and salt, stirring lightly.
  • 3Heat broth and add to rice mixture. Cook with lid on low heat for 25 min.
    *Do not remove lid to stir.
  • 4Let stand for five minutes, remove lid, stir, and serve.
