onion, chopped

cooked rice

water chestnuts, sliced
1 c
peas, thawed
1 c
carrots, shredded

eggs
2 Tbsp
soy sauce
2 Tbsp
peanut oil

How to Make Fried Rice

Step-by-Step

  • 1Saute onion in peanut oil until onion is tender.
  • 2Stir in rice, chestnuts, peas and carrots.
  • 3Cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes stirring frequently.
  • 4Stir in beaten eggs, and cook 3 minutes longer stirring occasionally. Stir in soy sauce.
  • 5Cooked cubed pork, beef or lamb can be added for varieties.
