  • 1/4 c
    onion, chopped
  • 2 c
    cooked rice
  • 1 can(s)
    water chestnuts, sliced
  • 1 c
    peas, thawed
  • 1 c
    carrots, shredded
  • 3
  • 2 Tbsp
    soy sauce
  • 2 Tbsp
    peanut oil

How to Make Fried Rice


  1. Saute onion in peanut oil until onion is tender.
  2. Stir in rice, chestnuts, peas and carrots.
  3. Cook over low heat for 8-10 minutes stirring frequently.
  4. Stir in beaten eggs, and cook 3 minutes longer stirring occasionally. Stir in soy sauce.
  5. Cooked cubed pork, beef or lamb can be added for varieties.
