easy baked rice

I have made this simple rice recipe for many, many years. The beauty of the recipe is that you can substitute any broth to change the entire flavor of the dish. I use this cooled dish to make fabulous fried rice.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 stick butter
  • 1 cup uncooked rice (i prefer jasmine rice)
  • 1 can chicken, beef or vegetable broth

How To Make easy baked rice

  • Step 1
    Preheat oven to 350*.
  • Step 2
    In a large Dutch oven or deep iron skillet, melt butter over meduim heat. Add rice and stir frequently until it begins to change color and lose some transluscency.
  • Step 3
    Carefully pour in broth. Cover tightly with lid or foil. Bake at 350* for 25 minutes. Carefully remove lid/foil.
