  • 1 1/2 c
    cooked wild rice
  • 1/2 c
    cooked brown rice
  • 1/2 c
    sliced green onions
  • 1 c
    chopped celery
  • 1 c
    snow peas, cut in half (fresh)
  • 3/4 c
    dried craisins
  • 8 oz
    can sliced water chestnuts, drained
  • 1 c
    coarsely choppd cashews, toasted

  • 1/2 c
    canola oil
  • 1 1/2 tsp
    soy sauce
  • 1/2 c
    wine vinegar
  • 1/2 c
    sugar or splenda
  • 1/2 tsp
    granulated garlic
  • 1/2 tsp
    ground ginger

How to Make Door Country Wild Rice Salad


  1. Mix all salad ingredients together except cashews. Just before serving, add dressing and cashews. Stir into salad and serve.
  2. Note: To make a larger dish, I add more brown rice and some of the other ingredients like celery, snow peas, etc.
