Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium red onion, chopped
- 1 medium bell pepper, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- - salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon steak seasoning
- 1/2-1 teaspoon tony chacherie'scajun seasoning or red pepper to taste
- 2 - cubes beef boullion
- 2 - cubes, chicken boullion
- 4 cups water
- 1 tablespoon worcestershire sauce
- 2 cups rice, uncooked
How To Make dirty rice - modified
-
Step 1Dissolve all boullion cubes together in water. I heat it in the microwave for a few minutes so the cubes get soft enough to mash and stir. Set aside.
-
Step 2Brown ground beef, onions, bell pepper and all seasonings in a medium to large pan with a tight fitting lid. Cook on medium uncovered until veggies are almost tender, stirring frequently. You can drain at this point but I don't. It adds to the flavor. Add Worcestershire.
-
Step 3Stir in prepared boullion and rice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 20 minutes
