Dirty Rice - Modified

This is one of the favorites at our house. It's great with barbecued chicken and homemade baked beans!

How to Make Dirty Rice - Modified

  1. Dissolve all boullion cubes together in water. I heat it in the microwave for a few minutes so the cubes get soft enough to mash and stir. Set aside.
  2. Brown ground beef, onions, bell pepper and all seasonings in a medium to large pan with a tight fitting lid. Cook on medium uncovered until veggies are almost tender, stirring frequently. You can drain at this point but I don't. It adds to the flavor. Add Worcestershire.
  3. Stir in prepared boullion and rice. Bring to a boil, reduce heat to low, cover and let simmer for 20 minutes
