    onion flakes, dehydrated
  • 1/2 tsp
    parsley flakes
  • 1/4 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 tsp
    turmeric, ground
  • 1/2 tsp
  • 1/4 tsp
    ginger powder
  • 1/2 tsp
    freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp
    kosher salt
  • 2 c
    chicken stock
  • 2 c
  • 2 c
    long grain rice
  • 1/3 c
    dry wild rice
  • 2 Tbsp
    butter, unsalted, optional

How to Make Copy Cat Uncle Ben's Wild Rice Mix


  1. Combine all of the spices in a medium saucepan and mix thoroughly.

    Add the both types of rice, the chicken stock, water and butter (if using).
  2. Bring mixture to a boil and stir to combine.

    Cover saucepan with a lid, turn down heat to a simmer and simmer gently for 10-15 minutes until all the liquid is absorbed.
  3. NOTE: May be used in any recipe that calls for Uncle Ben's Wild Rice.
