Ingredients
- 1 cup jasmine rice, uncooked
- 1 can coconut milk (14 oz)
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes, crushed
- 1/8 teaspoon turmeric, ground
- 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, finely chopped
- 1/2 cup almonds, slivered (optional)
- 1/4 cup shredded coconut (optional)
How To Make coconut jasmine rice

Step 1Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, except the sliced almonds.

Step 2Stir well to combine.

Step 3Cook over medium high heat, stirring until mixture comes to a low boil.

Step 4Immediately reduce heat to low.

Step 5Cover and cook for about 18 minutes.

Step 6Fluff with a fork.

Step 7Cover and let sit for 5 more minutes.

Step 8Garnish the finished rice with the slivered almonds and coconut(optional).
