One of my sister's recipes most requested for her pot luck suppers. Great recipe for store roasted chicken. Also for pre cooked rice

Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 - chicken bouillon cubes, crumbled
  • 2 cups milk
  • 3 cups cooked cubed chicken
  • 1/2 pound fresh mushrooms, sliced
  • 4 cups cooked rice
  • 1 cup gratedcheddar cheese

How To Make chicken, cheddar, & rice bake

  • Step 1
    Melt butter in 3 quart saucepan.
  • Step 2
    Blend in flour and bouillon
  • Step 3
    Gradually stir in milk.
  • Step 4
    Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until boil.
  • Step 5
    Spread rice in bottom of baking dish.
  • Step 6
    Spoon the chicken mixture over rice
  • Step 7
    Sprinkle cheese over all.
  • Step 8
    Bake 350 for 30 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
