This is the rice that I like to serve with my Crawfish Etoufee. It is tasty and adds a distinct flavor to the etoufee.

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 can chicken broth
  • 1 can beer, not lite
  • 1 cup long grain rice, uncooked

How To Make beer rice

  • Step 1
    Heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over moderate heat.
  • Step 2
    Add rice and brown lightly, stirring constantly.
  • Step 3
    Add the broth and beer.
  • Step 4
    Bring the mixture to a boil, reduce the heat and cover tightly and simmer for 25 minutes.
