The sixth recipe of the famous bacon medley of mine. I created fried rice. It is very good with some sides of imperial chicken and egg rolls.

method Stove Top
yield 6 serving(s)

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 pound thick sliced bacon, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 medium red bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium yellow bell pepper, diced
  • 1 medium purple onion, chopped
  • 3/4 cup honey mustard
  • 2 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons steak seasoning
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar
  • 3 cups chilled cooked white rice
  • 4 large eggs, beaten

How To Make bacon medley fried rice

  • Step 1
Heat sesame oil in a medium saucepan over high heat.
  • Step 2
Add raw bacon pieces, diced red and yellow peppers, and chopped purple onion. Cook and saute for 6 minutes or until the bacon pieces are brown and crispy and the vegetables are tender.
  • Step 3
Stir in honey mustard, teriyaki sauce, steak seasoning, and brown sugar; stir-fry for 5 minutes.
  • Step 4
Add cooked white rice; stir-fry for 2 minutes or until thoroughly heated. Push the rice mixture to the sides of the saucepan, forming a well in the center.
  • Step 5
Add beaten eggs to center of the saucepan and cook 30 seconds; toss with rice mixture. Stir-fry until the eggs are cooked.
