Ingredients
- 3 cups chicken broth (or any broth you prefer)
- 2 cups brown rice, raw
- 3 tablespoons butter (i use unsalted)
- 1 tablespoon chipotle chili powder (less if you prefer)
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon brown sugar, light
- 1 teaspoon orange rind, finely grated
- 1 cup almonds, slivered
How To Make almond brown rice

Step 1In a medium saucepan, bring broth to a boil.

Step 2Add rice, butter, chipotle powder, garlic powder, brown sugar and grated orange rind.

Step 3Stir briefly; cover.

Step 4Lower heat and cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until moisture is absorbed and rice is tender.

Step 5Stir in almonds. Cover and let stand for about 3 minutes. Fluff rice with a fork, and enjoy.
