Almond Brown Rice

You could add some cooked diced chicken for a full meal, if you like.

Ingredients

3 cchicken broth (or any broth you prefer)

2 cbrown rice, raw

3 Tbspbutter (i use unsalted)

1 Tbspchipotle chili powder (less if you prefer)

1/4 tspgarlic powder

1 tspbrown sugar, light
-
1 tsporange rind, finely grated

1 calmonds, slivered
How to Make Almond Brown Rice
- In a medium saucepan, bring broth to a boil.
- Add rice, butter, chipotle powder, garlic powder, brown sugar and grated orange rind.
- Stir briefly; cover.
- Lower heat and cook for 30 to 40 minutes or until moisture is absorbed and rice is tender.
- Stir in almonds.
Cover and let stand for about 3 minutes.
Fluff rice with a fork, and enjoy.
