This recipe was given to me by a friend who prepared it for our local symphony rehearsal dinner. The symphony members ate it up (literally!) And even my hard-to-please husband gave it a thumbs-up.

Ingredients
- 1 large can yams, drained and mashed
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 3/4 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 - eggs, beaten
- - miniature marshmallows
- - optional: pecan halves
How To Make yams casserole

Step 1Heat oven to 350 degrees.

Step 2Mix ingredients together and put in casserole dish.

Step 3Bake 30 minutes or longer, if needed. Sprinkle with miniature marshmallows and a few decorative pecans halves, if desired.

Step 4Broil a couple seconds, making sure it doesn't burn.
