My aunt Darlene always made these when we were kids. Now they are one of my kids favorites.

Ingredients For whipped garlic potatoes

  • 7
    potatoes, peeled and boiled
  • 2 Tbsp
    margarine
  • 1 - 3 oz pkg
    cream cheese
  • 1 - 8 oz
    carton sour cream
  • garlic powder to taste

How To Make whipped garlic potatoes

    Boil potatoes as you would for mashed potatoes. Drain
  • 2
    Mash potatoes with remaining ingredients adding garlic to desired taste.

    Spread into a greased casserole. Dot with margarine. Cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 - 60 minutes.

    HINT: This is a wonderful make ahead recipe. You may need to bake longer if taking from the fridge to the oven. This recipe works well with meats that do not make gravy. Example: Steak, pork chops, meatloaf etc.
