My family always loved this growing up..they are now grown and in their 40's and 50s'. I got this from my mother-in-law when I first got married, back in the 50's. Very economical and grown-ups as well as kids love it.

Ingredients
- 1 pound beef weiners
- 4-5 large potatoes, diced
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 cans tomato sauce
- 1 1/4 teaspoons salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 can water ( tomato sauce can)
- 1 small bell pepper, chopped
How To Make weinie casserole

Step 1Cook diced potatoes in boiling water for 10 min. Drain and combine with all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Pour into a deep casserole dish or pan, covered. Bake for 50 min. at 325 degrees. Take lid or foil off of dish the last 10 min. or until slightly browned on top. Enjoy! Good with hot rolls and salad. If any is left over...good the next day cold with crackers.
