How To Make venison gravy over cheesy mashed potatoes
-
Step 1Take a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add 1 whole sliced onion. Allow the onion to caramelize before moving onto the next step
-
Step 2Add sliced venison, 2nd onion and 2nd stick of butter. Allow venison to render for about 30-40 minutes
-
Step 3While venison is cooking, boil your potatoes (Whole, do not peel or dice) until tender. Once they have boiled add cheese, butter and milk. Mash with skin on.
-
Step 4By this time your venison should have completely rendered and the butter and onions should have turned to almost a gravy.
-
