Ingredients
- 2 packages shredded frozen potatoes
- 2 cups sour cream
- 2 cans cream of celery soup
- 1 large diced sweet onion
- 3 cups sharp shredded cheese
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 cup crushed corn flakes or crackers or bread crumbs
How To Make utah funeral potatoes

Step 1Thaw potatoes. Mix potatoes, sour cream, soup, cheese, and onion. Spread mixture into a large buttered casserole dish. (can be halved for family size) [optional, for spicy version, add one can of green chilies]

Step 2Top with crumbs or crushed crackers.

Step 3bake, covered for 45 minutes at 350. removing foil and baking uncovered the last 15 minutes.
