·vegetable oil or crisco
How to Make The French Fry Treat in my family
- Once you get the potatoes cut up, I like to put them in cold water and toss in the fridge for about 30 minutes to an hour. I have actually cut up way too many potatoes and fried them next day and next day, as long as looking good.
- The wet potatoes will be rolled into the cornmeal and salt mixture. Then fried in the oil or Crisco.
- Once done, drain as you see fit. Then if more salt needed, salt them and eat them and wonder why it took so long for you to ever make these.
