teri's awesome mashed potatoes
I first had this from a sister-in-law... I have since changed things up a bit.

One holiday side dish that can be semi-homemade is mashed potatoes, and this is a great recipe to have handy. It tastes like you peeled, boiled, and mashed the potatoes yourself... except you didn't. The final result is creamy, buttery, and fluffy mashed potatoes.

Ingredients
- 2 packages Bob Evans garlic mashed potatoes
- 1 package cream cheese (8 oz.)
- 1 package shredded cheddar cheese
- - garlic powder, if you wish for more garlic
- 1 package bacon bits, usually found in croutons section of store
How To Make teri's awesome mashed potatoes

Step 1In a casserole dish, as shown, put in the one package of potatoes and mash with a fork or spoon, whichever.

Step 2Cut cream cheese into slices. Place them on top of potatoes.

Step 3Microwave for 4 min.

Step 4Add the bacon bits, cheese, and the other package of potatoes {garlic powder if you choose}. Mix together.

Step 5Microwave for about another 5 min or until everything is heated through and melted. Enjoy!
