tater tot casserole
Juvenile allert! Most of you might disregard this recipe for it's simple ingredients or just the way it sounds. I love this dish because both my husband AND kids love it and for how easy it is to whip up. Most of the time I use ground turkey or a lean beef. If you don't like mushrooms you can try it with cream of chicken. I serve it with salad and iced tea. Enjoy!

Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef or turkey
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon garlic pepper
- 8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 package tater tots, large bag
How To Make tater tot casserole
-
Step 1Directions: Brown ground beef or turkey. Drain.
-
Step 2Add cream of mushroom soup, undiluted. Add garlic pepper.
-
Step 3Spread out in a large baking dish. I use a round 12x8 corningware dish. Top with cheese. Starting at the edge, lay tater tots side by side to make a ring. When you complete the first ring, start a second one inside the first. continue this pattern until you completely top the casserole.
-
Step 4Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown and heated through. I then switch the oven to broil and it gives the tater tots an extra crisp.
