Juvenile allert! Most of you might disregard this recipe for it's simple ingredients or just the way it sounds. I love this dish because both my husband AND kids love it and for how easy it is to whip up. Most of the time I use ground turkey or a lean beef. If you don't like mushrooms you can try it with cream of chicken. I serve it with salad and iced tea. Enjoy!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb
    ground beef or turkey
  • 1 can(s)
    cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 tsp
    garlic pepper
  • 8 oz
    shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 pkg
    tater tots, large bag

How to Make Tater Tot Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Directions: Brown ground beef or turkey. Drain.
  2. Add cream of mushroom soup, undiluted. Add garlic pepper.
  3. Spread out in a large baking dish. I use a round 12x8 corningware dish. Top with cheese. Starting at the edge, lay tater tots side by side to make a ring. When you complete the first ring, start a second one inside the first. continue this pattern until you completely top the casserole.
  4. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until brown and heated through. I then switch the oven to broil and it gives the tater tots an extra crisp.
