  • 6 medium
    red potatoes, cooked and cut into 1 inch chunks ( i par boil them whole) drain and cube
  • 1/2 c
    onion, chopped
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp
    dried parsley
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp
    garlic powder
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp
    onion powder
  • 1 - 1 1/2 tsp
    paprika ( optional)
  • ·
    oil for frying..i used bacon grease
  • ·
    salt and pepper to taste

How to Make Tasty Red Potatoes - My Way


  1. In a medium to large skillet, heat oil over medium heat.

    Add potatoes; cook for 10 - 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  2. In a small bowl mix the spices.
  3. Stir in the spices and onion; cook and stir 5 - 10 minutes longer or until potatoes are browned and onions are tender.

    Add more oil as needed, the potatoes are like sponges..sucks it right up..
  4. Sometimes I add some crisp bacon also.

    These make great breakfast potatoes too..

    I add salt to taste at the end. The potatoes suck the salt right up while frying, and end up having to salt again. That leads to over usage..
