swiss steak with gravy
We are big meat and potatoe fans. Add gravy to it and we are in heaven. This is a very filling and warm recipe.

Ingredients
- 2 pounds round steak
- 1/2 cup sliced onion
- 1/2 cup sliced green pepper
- 1 can 14 oz. diced tomatoes garlic/onion flavor
- 1 teaspoon season salt
- 1 package brown gravy (add water as directed)
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 1 tablespoon vegetable or olive oil
- 1 dash salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 2 tsp water mixed in small bowl
How To Make swiss steak with gravy

Step 1Tenderize round steak. Sprinkle seasoned salt on one side.

Step 2Sprinkle flour on both sides of round steak. Brown in oil on both sides. Remove beef to plate. Add onions and green peppers to pan and saute for 1 minute. Then add gravy, water, can of tomatoes, dash of salt and pepper. Bring to a boil.

Step 3Return meat to pan and cover. Cook on simmer or low boil for 2 hours until meat is tender. Last 10 min. add mixtures of 1 tsp of cornstarch and 2 tsp of water to thicken and make gravy.

Step 4Serve with mashed potatoes, rice or noodles.
