sweet potatoe casserole

This is served every Thanksgiving and we all simply love it =)

Ingredients

  • 3 cups mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 cup brn sugar (if not canned potatoes) ½ c if canned
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice, ground
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • TOPPING
  • 1 stick butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 cup nuts i use pecans =)

How To Make sweet potatoe casserole

  • Step 1
    Mash sweet potatoes, brn sugar, butter, eggs, allspice and cinnamon together put in baking pan.
  • Step 2
    Mix topping all together and sprinkle on top of sweet potatoe mixture
  • Step 3
    Bake 30 minutes in 350 oven
  • Step 4
    You can boil fresh sweet potatoes then mash or you can use can sweet potatoes...this will of course alter the time it takes to prepare your dish. I always boil and use fresh though.
