Ingredients

  • 3 c
    mashed sweet potatoes
  • 1 c
    brn sugar (if not canned potatoes) ½ c if canned
  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 2 large
    eggs
  • 1/2 tsp
    allspice, ground
  • 1 tsp
    cinnamon, ground
  • TOPPING

  • 1 stick
    butter, room temperature
  • 1/2 c
    all purpose flour
  • 1 c
    brown sugar, firmly packed
  • 1 c
    nuts i use pecans =)

How to Make Sweet Potatoe Casserole

Step-by-Step

  1. Mash sweet potatoes, brn sugar, butter, eggs, allspice and cinnamon together put in baking pan.
  2. Mix topping all together and sprinkle on top of sweet potatoe mixture
  3. Bake 30 minutes in 350 oven
  4. You can boil fresh sweet potatoes then mash or you can use can sweet potatoes...this will of course alter the time it takes to prepare your dish. I always boil and use fresh though.
